Primary event: The Motivated Brain
Motivation Factors help individuals, teams and organizations identify what to pursue and what to avoid to stay highly motivated. We measure, develop and help maintain motivation:
Measure: We offer a suite of motivation assessments, which identifies the individual’s or the team’s motivational drivers and measure the level of motivation.
Develop: Based on the assessment results, we provide a various exercises, workshops and programs to improve the individual’s or team’s motivation.
Maintain: We offer different kinds of maintenance and follow-up programs
Learning outcomes for this talk:
- How is motivation connected to the brain?
- Why is motivation too important to leave it to someone else (e.g. your manager)?
- How can you take control and ownership of your own motivation?
- What is the return on investment in motivation?
- Why is extrinsic motivation short term – and intrinsic motivation long term?
Approximately two weeks before the talk, we will invite (free of charge of course) all participants to complete the Motivation Factor Pin Pointer Pro – our extended motivation assessment. In combination with the speech, the assessment result will help the attendee to understand his or her own motivational drivers, and I will use the assessment results for a live demonstration. (We of course confirm that the contact information only will be used for this event – and will be deleted after use.)
Motivation theory has acknowledged the individual aspect of motivation and even gone so far as to provide ways to catalog different sets of motivators, behaviors and styles, yet we still end up with a one-size-fits-all approach. The mass motivation approach may offer short-term results and incentive programs and benefits may earn us a place on the “Best Places to Work” lists, but in the long run, are simply not effective. Motivation is a complex interplay of factors unique to each of us which requires personal connection and dynamic management. This sounds complex. It doesn’t have to be.

Bio of the speakerHelle Bundgaard
Following a successful career as a senior sales and business development executive for Fortune 500 companies, Helle decided in 2003, to pursue her passion for human behavior and motivation.
Her goal was to bridge theory and practice by developing non-complex tools which, used in a simple way, could uncover behavioral patterns and personal motivation factors – something that often feels like a complex and confusing process.
Four years of intensive research on the brain’s reaction and response patterns, combined with known psychological and motivational theories, led to the launch of the Hierarchy of Motivation© and the Motivation Factor® Methodology. Both are the foundation of Motivation Factor as we know it today.In addition to heading up Motivation Factor, Helle is External Lecturer at UNIL – University of Lausanne, SIM – Singapore Institute of Management and member of the international coaching team at IMD – International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland, where she coaches senior executives from around the world.
